1999 G19 48V one of the batteries only shows 5.3 volts yet the whole pack has 45.2 Is that possible ? . 2nd question cart seems to have accelerator problem when step on pedal cart doesn't move, you have to thump it looking for a sweet spot , pedal is not kicking something in ? solenoid ?

Is that a 6 volt battery that shows 5.3 volts? Or is it an 8 volt or 12 volt battery?

48v is the type of cart but 48volts is low on the state of charge chart

5.3 volts is dead .. replace that battery as you more than likely have a dead cell

45.2 volts dropping to 20v will not move your cart

What is the voltage on each battery? Do you know how old the batteries are? These guys are much more knowledgeable than me, so I'm just asking questions they may have next. How is your charger acting when plugged in? Does it seem to charge or try to charge the turn off? When you get to 45.2v is that right after a full charge? What brand of batteries and charger?

That 5.2v battery will never work, dont even waste time diagnosing any thing else 'till that battery is replaced. When that battery is replaced, your "pedal problem" will likely vanish...

I'm new to carts and just trying to learn. Seems like if the battery pack is 45.2v that with the one battery has a 5.3v reading, does the average the others at 8v each? Seems like the whole pack is bad, or will the one with the dead cell be throwing the rest of the pack off, or just known that it won't allow the pack to charge correctly. Is the thinking to get him going and then see where he stands? Sorry for stupid assumptions, please don't think I'm questioning y'all's assessment.

all batteries have atleast 8.1 except one it is low 5 volts . This is a friends cart . I told him replace the bad battery . also charger will not charge . I told him replace bad battery then see what charger does.I believe it does not have the voltage to move the cart . I got confused and was looking at the 42V column , for charge level .

The 5.3v battery will prevent the others from fully charging, and the 5.3v battery will crap out as soon as any load is placed on it (he said 20v when pedal is pressed). I think you would get better results for testing only, if you just removed the 5.3v battery, and tried running it on 5 batts (but under no circumstance, plug only 5 batts into the 48v charger)...
