Default 97 G16E goes great on flats, not up hills

My G16E is making me crazy, not sure which direction to go now. I have put in 6 new 6volt batteries, new solenoid, motor checked, brushes replaced and also bearing, upgrade all cables to 4 awg welding cables. Cleaned all connection points when replacing cables. Finally checked accelerator potentiometer(good per Yamaha service manual procedure). The problem is after all this(and plenty of hair pulling) The cart goes like the wind on flat but when going up hills slowes quickly to a stop. This is while batteries are fully charged. Which way do I go now? Any thoughts or any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Can you hook a volt meter on the battery set while driving under those conditions?

It could be motor, But, usually a motor either works right, or it doesnt work at all.

I ran across this thread while looking for a solution to my problem. Worth looking into. He spent a lot of money replacing parts and it turned out to be one wire!
Hope it works for you too.

Does the reverse buzzer work? The pink wire is the reverse wire, it activates the buzzer, and tells the controller you are in reverse (goes slower in Reverse).
