Default Looking for more speed from 07 YDRE. How would this set-up work?

Just purchased a 07 YDRE after selling my 01 G19. The cart is stock, but with 10" tires and rims. I'm a golfer and only looking for max speed, not high torque. The cart will do 15-16 now but want more. I spoke with Plum Quick yesterday and he recommended the "Bandit" upgrade which should get another 5-6 mph. What if I did this and also took it to the dealer and scanned it to level 4. Do you think this would give me 25mph plus?

Anyone have this set-up?

I have never used any "plumquik" motors, but i do know this. Unless you do some tach sensor trickery, the motor controller will keep the speed at 19mph (in ptv mode, with stock tire/wheels) no matter what motor is in it. What you have called "level 4" is a clubcar term, a yamaha has "ptv mode", which is 19mph.

So what needs to be done to the controller to allow it to go faster?

Toss it in the trash and get an Alltrax controller.

The "ptv speed code" 19mph is your best bet right now. High speed gears will get you 25mph, but it is hard on the stock controller, and Will shorten its life. You could wait a bit for the Alltrax XCT motor controller to arrive. It will be plug & play, and will get over 20mph (not sure how much over 20) with the stock motor.

Just out of curiosity, can a controller with PTV code be moved from one cart to another?
