14" rims on golf cart
I have never owned a golf cart before. I am trying to decide between the
Yamaha or a ezgo rxv. I know I would like to run 14" wheels. Can anybody tell me if you can do this without a lift on a 2010 Yamaha or rxv. Thanks |

Re: 14" rims on golf cart
I have a yamaha g29(drive) with 14" wheels on it, i do get a slight rub on full steering lock to the left where the tyre touches the recess in the floor behind the pedals, doesn't bother me though as its only at full lock and you don't go fast with the steering cranked that hard.

Re: 14" rims on golf cart
Ok. Thanks for the reply. All the dealers are telling me it needs a lift to install 14". And I'm not wanting a cart with a lift kit

Re: 14" rims on golf cart
here's mine, rear wheel clearance will depend on rim offset and so forth.

Re: 14" rims on golf cart
If you test ride a RXV then a Drive you will probably want the Drive, it rides the best of all golf carts.

Re: 14" rims on golf cart
14" wheels will fit non lifted carts. Tire needs to be low profile, maybe a 30 series. Wheel offset is something to consider to alleviate rubbing up front.

Re: 14" rims on golf cart
I went with the rxv and ordered 14" madjax wheels which are centered offset. So hopefully no rubbing and they shouldn't stick out. I'll post pics this weekend. Thanks for the help
