The Dunes this Weekend

Twelve hours and counting until we leave for the dunes. This is our first trip of the season and I can't wait to see how my cart likes playin' in all that sand.

Loaded up the hauler last night and we are ready to roll as soon as T closes up the shop. I've already told him to plan on leaving on time.

I'll take a bunch of pics of all of us. Our group should be huge and varied. And we will all be fueled by beer, bravado and AV Gas.

That looks like a great place. I've never had the pleasure to ride the dunes but would like to one of these days.

Alas, there will likely not be in pics from this weekend. My camera (disposable because of the sand) was in the cooler, and Tom decided to see if he could launch the rail into the air to test the new fuel injection. A can of beer exploded and drenched the camera. I have no idea if it survived or not.

I can tell you we had a great time. My cart is much faster than the suspension it has at this time will allow. I have the backache to prove it.

Everyone came home safe, afew mechanical casualties, but no humans were injured. I will try for more pics during our Thanksgiving trip.
