Best In The Desert Race-September 26
Here's a link to this months race for anyone who enjoyed tracking our race team last time. This is a one day 320 mile race in Nevada. Hopefully the clutch issues they had last time are resolved. The winning team from the last race has had the car for two weeks doing alot of work on it. It ran good in testing this week so we are hoping for a great finish. It should run great for the several thousand more $$$$ they spent. The 1900 class should have approx. a 7-7:30 start time tomorrow. Mike is #1912. They finally pulled out of here last night at 8:00 and got to Mesquite, NV at about 3AM. Today is driver meeting and prep day. And probably catch up on sleep day.

Running good so far. Third place and seem to be running strong. Tom isn't answering my texts... gee maybe he's a little busy.

Re: Best In The Desert Race-September 26
They were doing so well...They made pit 5 in 3rd place, (pit 5 is about 2/3rds of the race) they came out with the 4th place car and held together for 30 or 40 miles...then?? They stopped at the alt pit for a problem (obviously). After a while they got out and now they are stopped in the middle of nowhere.
Thank goodness for the tracking stuff, they won't have to wait overnight to get out. oh well. That's on the track R&D.... So sorry Boo. |

This was really unlucky. A big black rock got between the skid plate and the engine case and cracked it. They started spraying oil and stopped so they didn't do more damage. It can be fixed but they'll be running the alt. engine for the rest of the season. Everything else worked great though.
