Where are Street Legal Carts allowed in Cali

Hi, I am new to the forum and hope some Cali guys can help me out. We are looking at buying a used Golf Cart that is Cali Street Legal with a license plate. Presumably these carts are street legal on roads with speed limits less than 35mph. What I am looking to use the cart for is to get around in Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Anza Borrego, and Big Bear where it say "Street Legal" vehicles only, no OHV. Does anyone know if they allow you to use the street legal golf carts on the dirt roads in these areas?

Um..... last place i wanna get caught with a low battery pack is death valley or joshua tree. Trust me on this. I know every rock out there. California rules vary by city. Check the local laws....

Should have specified it is a Gas cart, not electric

Yeh.... big diff Welcome to bgw...... the desert dirt roads are basically unpatrolled & unregulated. If what you are using them for is safe and sane then there is absolutely no reason for any sheriff to question you about your use. We used those roads for dune buggies and dirt bikes and when that wouldn't do we used the washes to run from point A to B.... Never had a sheriff stop me in the dirt in 20 yrs

You will want more than a stock engine and suspension of course....
