Looking to do some trail riding (Rochester NY or surrounding)

I've got a few acres to ride on but already looking for some real trail riding within a few hours of Rochester NY.

Anyone familiar with the ATV trails that run parallel to rt 104 east of Williamson?

What about the snowmobile trails that run under the powerlines on the north east side towns (Webster/Penfield)? Thinking i could run them when ground is frozen or too little snow for the snowmobiles w/o causing ruts etc...

Any of these legal for carts? Would I need to register my cart somehow (I believe NYS requires ATVs/Sleds to be registered to run on public property)?

Any suggestions?
