King of the Hammers Race
Since Tom has the rest of the week off, he's heading out today to join my son in law and the rest of the crew for this race. This is some gnarly stuff.. Side by sides race on Thursday. That's us. The big trucks run on Friday and they are pit crew on Friday for one of the trucks. I am glad I didn't watch this stuff before I encouraged him to go.

one of my guys thats works nights with me pre runned last weekend in Curries kawai teryx... i thought the side x side was friday....

Don't think so. Trucks are Friday far as I know. What I was told anyway. Course they may not be completely honest with the women left at home.

So today is race day for the UTV's. Yesterday they woke up to a lake from all the rain they had and cold and wind. Hopefully today will be a little warmer and no rain as far as I know. Phone contact is horrible so we won't know much until it's over and they get back to the trailer and a computer. The purse for today's race is 5K to the winner. UTVs won't be doing as much rock crawling as the big boys will be doing tomorrow, but Tom says the course is pretty brutal. My son in law got a new RazrS Robby Gordon edition 4-seater for a pit crew car and he said he drove the course with it yesterday and it performed awesome. He loves it because it's got way more leg room than the race car does.
