Default Tri County Trails southern Wisconsin

I neended a day off! So, the chick and I packed up the cart and went for a trail ride

We posted a picture from this exact location last November, looks a little different in summer,

Stopped for a burger and a beer 30 some odd miles up the trail. It was a GREAT burger

A look up the trail, and the chick thinkin she can hide behind the winshield.

A tornado touched down through here about a week ago, it cut about 150 to 200 foot wide path through the trees,

Tryin to look cool

Now I've got some cleaning to do....

This is a dandy location to ride for a day or a week. They have camping, lodging all along the trail, plenty of pubs and returaunts, the towns that you go through are all ATV, UTV, dirt bike, golf cart, etc. friendly. They have designated routes in towns to make sure you can get to any of the stores, bars, restaurants in town. The main trail is 54 miles, the local ATV club (tricountyatv.org) and several snowmobile clubs maintain another 50+ miles of trail. These foolks have done an outstanding job creating and maintaining access to these trails.
The web site is Tricountytrails.com. If you live in IL, WI, IA, or are just looking for a destination to go trail ride, this is a great place.
You need to buy a trail pass which will set you back $15.00 for a year.

The main trail is suitable for any golf cart, lifted or not. There are areas after a good rain that will collect some water, and you and your cart WILL get very dusty. Small price to pay for a day on the trails.

We ran just short of 70 miles yesterday.

Here we go again Still have the borrowed motor home so, the chick and I busted out to the trails Friday afternoon. Set up camp and began to explore trails that we had never been able to get to because we had to drive home at the end of the day.

Camp Ess. There is a river running through the area in front of the camper.

Friday evening went for a quick ride,

Saturday morning headed north for a burger and beer,

The chick enjoyed it as well

Found some places just off the trail to play a little,

A rest stop on the way back to camp Saturday night.

And then the light started to go...........

All told, we did over 145 miles with the bulk of that being on Saturday, I cant say enough about the work that these clubs have done to gain access to theses areas, and the work they do to maintain these trails.

Another wonderful trip to the Tri-County trails

145 miles! How much gas is that???

You picked a great weekend, Scot. Looks like a great location too. Did you let the chick drive any of it? LOL!

The weather was spectacular! The chick would always much rather go for a ride than drive.

That was about $22.00 (8 gallons) worth of gas.
