Club ride for the Northeast (NY, PA, OH, etc)
As much as I would love to go to CAW, its kind of a burden for me to drive 12 hours, so I m looking to see if there is any interest for a get together closer to home. As far as an atv park, I only know of Majestic trails in PA, although I've never been there.
I do frequant a great area near Allegheny state park, called Onnoville, that is Indian property that a friend of mine has access to also. Its got lots of room for camping but NO utilities. Its right on kinzua lake, so good swimming, boating and jet skiing if you wanna make a vacation out of it. There is access to shower house about 10 minutes drive away, a convenient store a mile away (golf cart accessible) and some restaurant/bars not too far also. Any other ideas would be be greatly appreciated. Id love to make this happen, so lets see who else does! |

No reason this couldn't be a family event. Usually kids are asked to be out of sight at dusk so the adults can hang out and do whatever adults do.....Like night riding!

I dunno if pachanga will be having the picnic this year , it was nice when i took the family up their , we need to get one together though i was thinking about that place up in northwest pa up near bradford or some other members in ny have large places to ride , I just would not want to impose on anyone , since we have plenty of places to ride up our way , i just cannot wait for the AAOA just up the street from me , thousands of acres of outdoor adventure and knoebels amusement resort for the kids and campers , it would be pretty cool to host an event here. http://www.anthraciteadventure.com/pages/Home.aspx

If we can get enough people to chime in, im sure we could all agree on a place that would be convenient for everyone. Im willing to drive, just would like to keep it local (8 hours max away). Hell, id travel every weekend to explore new places and meet new friends. Nothing like carting with th a bunch of good people who enjoy our favorite hobby!
Can you tell us more about this "AAOA"? |

Re: Club ride for the Northeast (NY, PA, OH, etc)
they are old coal mines that are not really fit for any other use and everyone rode there illegally because it was really easy to not get caught just hop on a trail the cops could not take and ride for 20 miles to another township and they just could not catch up with you and their were so many people up their riding that someone got the idea why not regulate and tax it and turn this old sh*t hole of a town into a tourist destination and be able to call an old environmental destroyed area as reclaimed . covering five townships and over 6500 acres

Re: Club ride for the Northeast (NY, PA, OH, etc)
Another Picnic is already planned, its' an annual-event.I'll keep you posted.NoBuckBuild(Rich) can vouch for me,lots of riding, lots of fun,an lots of Food!!!I have plenty of room for campers to set up as well,as long as Mother Nature lets the ground dry out! That AAOA sounds really cool,We didn't care for Majestic, too hilly for us,we are flat-landers,we like cruising scenic trails, going fast and playing in mud.
A little warmer weather would be nice this year!!! |
