Default Battery upgrade to Li-ion Cobalt

New Li-ion battery upgrades are available for those who are tired of replacing the lead acid. Available in 48, 72 and 96vdc modules 45, 60, 90 or 120 ah. The nice thing about going Li-ion is the life expectancy of over 8 years. I am not talking about Lipo, I am talking about Cobalt used in American electric cars. I have done many conversions and can provide help for anybody who is contemplating replacing their lead acid batteries. email me, as I would be glad to help.

Welcome to BGW Scott!

Here's the problem.... Granted, not many... if any... BGW sponsors supply Li-ion batteries,
BUT... the BGW rules won't allow you to sell Li-ion batteries without becoming a BGW sponsor!

IF... you don't want to be a BGW sponsor... it's considered SPAM, and you'll be banned!

Just a heads-up!

A lot of us would love to have lithium cobalt batteries. Could you tell us a bit more about the conversions you've done?

Thanks for the heads up Lockman1. I wasn't aware of the strict forum rules on selling. I will just do what I do best, and that is to help others who want to upgrade to Li-ion and don't know how to do it. As the designer of the first Li-ion powered car in the US, I later sold my design using the Panasonic 18650 cells to the BIG guy, who later and at present uses them in the best electric car made. I now design upgrades using the LG Chemical cells for EV conversions and other EV's, such as electric golf carts and bikes.

Your more then welcome to "advise" publicly about Li-ion batteries all you want on BGW!

"Selling" anything (even under the table) might create a problem!

Got it?

So Scot I have been thinking about this for a while and searching sources and reading in another forum relative to the title. So many opinions and options and definitely pricing.
I would appreciate if you could answer my questions and it may help others; as you say "help others who want to upgrade to Li-ion and don't know how to do it. "

Yes, do share. NOT 1 on 1, but with all.
