Which motor upgrade?
hey guys, kinda a newbie to this forum and I found it to be very helpful thus far. So glad I found it.
I'm upgrading my motor on 09 CC Precedent. I just installed XCT400IQ, solenoid and 4ga wires. New batteries will be installed tomorrow, moving to 6 -8volt. Now I'm at crossroads on motor. Any suggestions? I looked at plumb quick and liked what I saw but having to send in my motor first and then a couple week down time is really a deal breaker. I'm not looking to pull stumps out or hit the freeway with the cart - BUT we do take it off road occasionally. Mostly its a campground cruiser. So which motor and from where do you guys suggest? Thanks in advance guys!nn Last edited by AWandKW; 08-09-2015 at 07:34 AM.. Reason: spellings |

Re: Which motor upgrade?
I would see how you like it before you upgrade. I went the other direction and bought the PQ Bandit. It is faster without the braking regen, but it is down on torque in comparison to the stocker. I had to upgrade controllers, etc like you to be able to pull hills. Now it has a lot more torque, but I may install the stock motor to see if there is any difference.

Re: Which motor upgrade?
You might check out a AMD #7144 motor. They are comparable to the PQ Executioner (I have both) and will increase both torque and speed. Also, you can find them for around $450 shipped. No core required.

Re: Which motor upgrade?
I went with D&D high torque motor from scottyb!
Can't wait for it to arrive! Paired with my new Alltrax XCT 400 should be fun |

Re: Which motor upgrade?
Scottyb, I want to upgrade my cc IQ 2009 this winter into a true 35mph cart. It has 6" lift, 23" tall tires, rear seat, all stock drive train, runs 22 mph. I've looked at your upgrade packages. I drive on streets only and with up grade. Load on a trailer two feet high. So I need some tq but I want to add speed also. What package do you recommend? Need a plug and play package. I'll also add disc brake package. I have four 12 volt batteries.
