I would sell the 6 6 volts to the person next door my thinking is you were going to buy two any way so if you can buy 6 8 volt batteries you can run the toaster oven on 48 but run the control side 32 or 40 volts i did this on my 84 ds i used 40 for control voltage works good 48 to the resistor going to motor.

Can't you hook up a 1 or 2 amp trickle charger on the tractors? 20 below? It got down near zero here a couple years ago. I still haven't recovered!

We plug in [block heater] tractors when it gets to about 10 above. A dead battery is not an issue normally only if it fails due to the cold or a electrical problem. Below zero is not a big deal for real men, we just have to be more careful to keep the beer from freezing or switch to rye.
