Toss F/R switch in 72v?
Is it true that you can't use a F/R switch when converting to 72v? Planning on converting to 72v with my 1998 48v CC. Still can't find a solenoid with silver contacts for 72v also if anyone has experience with them.
Thanks for any input. |

Re: Toss F/R switch in 72v?
I'm not sure about CC, but an EZgo FNR switch can be upgraded. On my ezgo I installed a 48v hd solenoid(silver contacts), and ran 48v to the activation circuit and 72v through main contacts. No problems as of yet.

The CC should be upgraded for better contact area but the EZ-GO just needs to be free of pitting and a good cleaning. I ran 120V through a modified CC F/R switch. You MUST use appropriate rated solenoid for 72V and higher!
