Need advice for performance electric cart
Hey guys. I just bought a camper and the campground only allows electric carts which means I have to sell my clone powered EZGO and get an electric cart. I live in a town where golf carts are allowed to been driven on the road. If fact during the summer months unless we leave town we only drive the golf cart. We take it to go to dinner, shopping, happy hour. You name it we drive there in the cart so it's important that my electric cart be able to perform as well. I'm looking to build one that will be able to go about 30mph yet still have the ability to carry 4 passengers on occasion. I also plan to install a lift kit and larger tires. I know plum quick builds motors capable of 30mph speeds. Question is what brand of cart would you all recommend to achieve my goals? Which brand is the cheapest to upgrade? I can get a 2014 48 volt Yamaha fresh off the golf course for $2800 but I also like the club car precedent. Won't rule out another EXGO but don't care for the Club Car DS. That body style hasn't changed since the late 80s. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need advice for performance electric cart
I just think the DS IS SO OLD school. I have an EZGO and even though the body style hasn't changed in years it still looks more modern than the DS. I really like the new body Yamaha but I'm wondering if any one is easier or cheaper to upgrade than another.

Re: Need advice for performance electric cart
Ezgo changed bodies in 2014 on the txt line and has different cowls for years. Club car also has different non-factory bodies available also. Yamaha is a good cart but not as many options. I own a G29 with the Alltrax xct300 and it does well. Not 30 mph but low 20s and rides really well. If I remember correctly you live in SC?

Re: Need advice for performance electric cart
Look for a sepex drive cart like IQ or Ezgo TXT48, some will say RXV, but I prefer DC power.
