Default Finally got to take it for a spin

So last night I finished wiring the controller and today put the batteries in and made the wires. Put it on jack stands made sure everything was good turned it on the little gauge lit up then something went click. Scared me I thought something was wrong checked everything again it was the solenoid pulling in whew. So I went to get it out the backyard and after the jakes long travel it wouldn't fit out the gate. My wife was shaking her head I smiled at her and I went got the portaband cut a pole down now it fits. Results top speed 32mph and it gets there very fast I couldn't take off too fast didn't have the body or the seat mounted everything kept moving around. It would pull hard all the way to 32mph and the limiter would kick in. Now I have to finish putting This thing back together real close. I will get some better pictures and videos later.

How wide is your gate? I want to put the Jake's long travel on a Yamaha G22 E with 22"x10 x10 tires. I have a 5' gate to go through and was thinking I should have inches to spare! I do have a wider gate, though.

Looking forward to seeing your finished cart!

My gate was 50" wide now its 70". When I first brought the cart home I pushed in the backyard and it fit thought the gate I think a stock cart is 48" wide the cart is now 53" at its widest point . I had to also add 2 1/2" spacers on the back wheels to make it even with the front

So did you ever hear the story about the guy who built a boat in his basement.

Pretty impressive what you got going on there.

lol. It's all good. In fact you said you didn't like my diagonal stitching. I stitched a set of seats for a digital camp wrapped cart. I decided to do all parallel stitching. It took so long I may never do it again.
