Default 2/0 Cable acquisition

I have ordered up all the 2/0 terminals that I need to build new cables for my battery pack and motor wires and the V-glide resistor wires. My question is now where has everyone been getting there cable. I have heard of some people using welding cable. I know not all cable is made equally so any input would be appreciated.

Welding cable works fine. I work in the pipeline business so there is always some laying around, we've wired probably a dozen carts with welding cable. I like getting the solder slugs for the ends and heat shrink, not the cheapest but they work really slick.

Finding a 2g lug that works on a V-glide now that will be the biggest challenge.I think you are crmped for space, no? .. and yes welding lead is what is required... the carts can draw current equal to a welder.

2/0 cable is MAJOR over kill, 2 ga would do just fine .

2/0 cable is huge. Are we really gonna fit that in a resistor coil type V-glide? Not sure it's possible. And there is the other problem, resistor Control is not rated or capable of huge amps & big motors. The resistor coils will be wasted soon, unless most all operation is done at full throttle (still not sure it will last). "Extreme DC" and resistor coils don't work together well.

I didnt even thing about the bigger lugs with the v glide. I was mainly going with 2/0 to have it in the cart for later upgrades.
