Default Seperately Excited Controller on PMDC Motor

I have tried searching, but I must suck at it, because I can't find an answer. I'm not even sure this is the right subforum. Sorry in advance...

I have a Pride Wrangler mobility scooter. It's not your average scooter. It has two 36V brushed DC motors. One for each rear wheel. It has a Curtis dual mode controller and I have reprogrammed its ramps, top speed, regen, etc. Well, I need more power and the potential is already there as it only runs on 24V. The existing controller doesn't do anything special for the two rear motors. Pride just splits the output and reverses the polarity of one motor.

I bought a Sepex 1244-4424 24-36V 400A because I'm an idiot. I also lost my programming cable in a recent cross country move, so I have to build another. Am I going to be able to use this seperately excited controller on my PMDC scooter motors? If so, how do I wire it?
