Default Plum Quick Grizzly II vs Black Widow II

Looking for the power specs of both of these motors as well as intended application. Unfortunately they're not specifically mentioned on the PQ web site. Are both of these considered torque motors?

If anyone is running either of these, please share your experience. Thanks.

Found an old thread in this sub forum from June 2016 where someone stated the Black Widow is 17.9 hp. Haven't come across anyone specifically stating the specs on the Grizzly. Nowhere I've seen where people are specifying if these numbers are peak or sustained. That makes a lot of difference when comparing different offerings from different mfg.

Another thread says PQ told one guy the Black Widow needs a minimum of a 700 amp controller. Alltrax doesn't list a controller for 48 volt over 600. Maybe the SR-48600 would work since the sustained amp specs are higher than the old AXE line. This particular thread I believe was dated prior to the introduction of the Alltrax SR series.

I'm not sure and haven't come across that info before but it's possible. Would certainly help in narrowing down my decision.

Not sure of the specs on you're Rattlesnake II but would the Alltrax SR-48600 supply enough power since they've increased the sustained amperage output? I read somewhere that a minimum of 700 amps was recommended for the RS. That's the other decision I have to make after I get the specs/application figured out for these two motors.

the RS II is not a torque motor but more of a middle of the road motor with a good balance of torque and speed . I never heard/read that you would 700 amp controller, I feel 500 amp would do fine .

You're right on the Black Widow being for EZ-GO. It's 19 spline. Robby at PQ told me this in an email. Grizzly is 15.5 peak hp and he recommends the GE 700 amp controller for best results.

The AMD 7114 "beast" has more peak hp at 19 but it weighs about 20lb less than the Grizzly?

Robby is about to start a custom motor for me. He refers to it as a super high torque motor, "Godzilla" Don't know the hp but torque is rated at 100 ft lb.
