The 95 48v DS was one of the slowest carts produced. I was shocked upon driving my first 48v cart 1995 CC There is hope for this cart. Use an Alltrax SR500 controller, 400 solenoid, 2g cable set, and the Admiral A1 motor. It will launch up hill and make 20-22 mph depending upon tire size and inflation.

Sounds like it is set on speed code 1 (8mph).
Dealer can place up to speed code 3 (14mph) for minimal fee.
Speed code 4 (19mph) is done through dealer and Club Car for ~$100.
Magnet swaps are less but loose Regen.

Can someone explain this? I've not seen any reference to adjustments Dealers make.

Thank you.

First is this an IQ controller cart? I had assumed it was.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...en-system.html
If so then this applies.

Speed Code 1 = Commercial Speed of 8mph
Speed Code 2 = Slow Golf Speed of 13.4mph
Speed Code 3 = Normal Golf Speed of 14.8mph
Speed Code 4 = Private Speed Mode of 19.6mph

The dealer can set code 1, 2 or 3 for a minimal labor charge.
You can have the dealer request speed code 4 which requires the serial number of your controller.
They charge more because Club Car charges them for the code 4.
You will get a set of three codes on sticker that can be attached to the cart.
This is near $100 and probably the same labor charge to program it.
The codes will only work with that controller.
