Default 6 vs 8

I switched to 48v and just added 2 more 6v batts instead of getting 6 new 8v batts. Is there any advantages to 8 batts instead of six?Any more run time? If so,approximately how much more? Thanks

You have a gain of 20% in lead so 20% more amps minus the added 140 pounds of weight eqauls .........ummmmm some kinda gain

You have gained amps and run time. You could now take advantage of a 650-700 amp controller.

And gained the equivalent weight of a passenger.... you are limited by the size of your controller? You could have 30 batteries and not get goin any faster than you did with 6 or 8. Depending upon the controller .... I'm jus sayin!
