Default Li-ion battery

Li-ion battery designed to be a direct replacement for lead acid.

Read this somewhere and since I need new Trojans, thought it would be worth looking into.
Any pro or cons would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Li-ion battery

From what I have seen, there are two types of those "drop in systems" or "plug and play systems" out there. 1- VERY expensive. 2- not any where near as advertised.

If you use the search function on this forum, you will find many threads concerning lithium batteries. Some talking about drop in swaps, and many about taking lithium batteries from cars and making systems to work in these carts.

I would not have even considered a plug and play system, just too expensive for me. I am in the middle of taking Nissan Leaf batteries and making them work in my cart. The cost is still up there, but no where near a plug and play.

If you can post some links to systems you run across, that may help folks here give you information to the specific ones.
