If you run the output of a controller to an inverter use a capacitor bank or a small 12V battery to buffer power spikes. Remember the controller switches ON up to pack voltage for a certain amount of time then switches OFF. You don't want these voltage spikes to get through which is why I said nothing about running an amp off the controller. Inverter falls into this category.

The Diode could be used for a very big half wave rectifier.
The contactor looks high amp but need to know voltage rating.
The Pan Head sheet metal screws could be used for a variety of projects, I am surprised you had to ask.

i figured i would need to smoth out the flow...

but before i do that what can i use those screws for??

the contactor came from a 24 volt forklft as well as the diode

all kinds of high amp goddies in that thing

btw could i use the EV-1 controller in my cart?

The 24V solenoid is probably good to 48V but you will have arc over if you try to break higher voltages.
Is there a number on the diode? You need to know the reverse voltage rating. As you know diodes conduct in one direction only unless the reverse voltage is too high then it can damage the diode. What I can tell from the picture is it's high amperage and the case is DO-9 stud mount.
The pan heads could be used to screw up a project.
Are there any EV-1 controllers left or did GM destroy them all? Seems like there were a few in the S-10 PU.

Let's get some video of this...
