Default Why no more real extreme dc

This used be where high voltage carts upgrades used to be. Has motor/controller technology made high volts obsolete? I had a 72v cart once many moons ago. Now I putt around on a mild 48v cart. Have had an Admiral motor for almost 2 years to install, but it sits in the garage.
Wish someone would post up some new high voltage cart upgrades to help motivate me.

EZGO has a couple of 72v (FLA) carts from the factory.

Maybe once electric cart manufactures began offering 72v vehicles this voltage lost some it's novelty. Or maybe the proponents of 72 simply burned up all their stuff and money or found a car was safer at those speeds.

Factory 72v are designed on 72v motors. Im talking about 72v on 36/48 v motors. Never burned my motor at higher volts. It was fun to play with. The torque was more impressive than the speed.

I have been trying to blow up my '80s Yamaha for a couple of years now, have come real close but it keeps coming back for more ..it's sitting stock height with club car 10" wheels .custom l.e.d projector head lamps tucked under the front cowl above the front bumper cover for high speed night runs lol. Absolutely enjoy the cap out of it would cry like a baby if it burst into flames or worse yet flipped it at speed .

The Extreme DC section basically dried up immediately upon arrival of the Lithium sub-forums...

It seems the usable performance gains of 72V in a flooded lead acid are matched by the usable performance gains of 58V lithium due to less weight, less voltage sag. If not a direct match, at least close enough.

Although, it would be nice to see a 20S, 74v nominal (80.4v max) lithium setup...
