upgrading to 72 volts
taking the plunge to upgrade my 36v ezgo txt to 72 volts
got an alltrax7245 on the way but have some questions on the rest of my shopping list I am hoping the guys who have done this will chime in with their own expierences and if they had the chance to start over would they do anything different 1) what is the best bang for the buck on 12v batteries is a $140 battery really worth the extra $ over a $60 battery what am i getting for the difference in cost? 2)what to do about the fnr switch everyone seems to have a different opinion about solenoids, relays or just upgrading the contacts what are the pros and cons of each along with the cost difference where can i find wiring diagrams for each? |

Re: upgrading to 72 volts
Might want to include the year of cart you are planning to do this on. Some parts are different based on the year model. Especially FNR.

Re: upgrading to 72 volts
Use a Czonka relay. It'll be the last one you buy for that cart.

Re: upgrading to 72 volts
Thats a good price for that relay. Be sure its the coil voltage you need cause they make many different models. I did a part number breakdown here in EDC. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/extre...lay-ev200.html
Heres a generic diagram that uses an alltrax, pot and czonka. No reverse buzzer. If you dont use an Alltrax you might have to change throttle wires around. |

Re: upgrading to 72 volts
1) what is the best bang for the buck on 12v batteries
is a $140 battery really worth the extra $ over a $60 battery what am i getting for the difference in cost? What are you looking for in a battery. Run time are speed. If you are looking for run time, i would stay with a 6 or 8 volt battery. The 12 volt Trojin is not worth the candy. |
