Some items to consider:

Keep batteries in excellent shape & fully charged before use, remove excessive drag/rolling resistance from brakes, tires, (keeping air up,) losing weight, (both off cart and human body,) reduce wind resistance from windshield, in other words good common sense.

The only real way to increase run time is to increase your lead intake. The more lead you have, the more run time you will have. There is a few ways that you can do this. But for now we can start with your neighbor. What is the voltage of his C/C.

Thanks scottyb.

To start with you can change over to 8 six volt batteries. When it comes time to buy new ones of corse. Or if you want to stay with the 6 8 volt bat, you can but at least compare them when it comes time to get new ones. Go for the weight.

But if I was looking for run time. Then I would go with the 8- 6volt batteries.
If this is not enough run time for him. Then I can tell you how to double his pack, still get 48 volts & a $hit load oh run tlme.

well he doesnt want to go down to 36 volts cuz that would cut power, and he doesnt really have any place to add more batteries and still stat at 48 volts....but give me some ideas and ill run them across him
