| hey guys, i was watching that electric drag racing video and noticed that the guy didnt use cables to connect his batteries...but used copper plates that were bent to fit to go to from terminal to terminal. would that be worth doing? im going to be running 2 gauge wires anyways and a 650 amp controller. would going with the plates like he did be better? i guess what really matters is what would the the pros and cons would be |

| Pros: Excellent amp handling capability. Cons: If batteries are too close then expand with age they can bend battery posts. If his bend was to give flex then the con rule goes away. |

| There is a product called Eriflex from Erico tat is a flat insulated copper that can be used as a cable substitute. This product has a much better current carrying capabilities. I think the down fall to this is that as the chasis flexes and the batteries move, the bars are going to be stressed. |
