Default 72 volt Clubcar DS How Fast?

Ok here goes....I am building a 72v Clubcar, I have a 2006 CC frame setup for 4 x 12's. With some minor modifications it will hold a 5th battery in the center, the 6th battery will be in the bagwell area. I am running 6 of the 12v Blue top US batteries. The controller is an Alltrax Axe 7245 24-72v. It has a overvoltage shutdown of 90v so I may step up to 84v anyway. Rearend is Kawasaki with 6:1 ratio. Motor is a custom D&D unit built by Vic. He said it will hold together at 7,000rpm @ 72volts....lets hope so! All wiring will be 2ga. Heavy duty F&R. I have a solenoid for 72v from Alltrax but I would like to know if there are better ones out there for 84v and above?
Cart will be sitting about 2" off the ground and will be used for straight line acceleration ONLY! I am looking at taking it to Maxton this year for the ECTA Hotrod Magazine Top Speed Challenge. Cart should easily hit 60-65mph?
I am calling it SBD.....Silent But Deadly! Any guesses on how fast?

i can give you roughly top end speed if you tell me what tires size you are going to be using.

how long of a track are you going to be running on?

6:1 should get you near 60 in a 1/8th. Garage Built was running 6:1 and he ended up going 62 in an 1/8th mile. That is what I am basing that off of.

8:1 would do better for acceleration in the 1/8th

Good Luck With The top speed challenge. To even get close to the speed you want, you will at least need 22-23 inch tires with the 6;1 gears. This alone will set your cart at least 6-7 maybe more inch's off the ground. Even if you put your rear end on top of your springs while having the rear springs put on up side down

I run the 1/8 mile on 84-volts AC power with 22 1/2 inch tires 8;1 gears turning 7,000 rpm's for a speed of 50 mph. I really don’t see your cart topping out 60-65 mph, even with a 6;1 gear. With that gear & tire your cart will still be at top speed less then the 1/4 mile. You will still be a long way from your goal. Sorry but this is just my 2 cents worth.

This is the set up I was talking about. In this pic the tires are 19 1/2 inch's

Thanks for the info....the actual distanc is a flying mile......I know I will be topped out long before the end...my tire height right now is 22" but I may set the suspension and axel on top of the frame so that the frame itself is about 1.5-2" off the ground and see just how tall of a tire I can run. I also have a DC motor that will make 6.1hp @ 5330rpm with 36 volts in a standard 36v CC it would run 23-25mph. I know it would not live long at 72-84volts. But I wonder if it would last long enough to make about 3 runs?
I have built a 48v that would run 42mph all day long without any issues, never messed with 72v though.
Thanks for all the info....keep it coming....I will post more pics of all my carts soon.

Don't forget #34. 72 volts, 20" tires, 8:1 gears, 50.9 mph.
