Default Spinning Hubs

Hey guys, i've stripped two hubs now! Does anybody know where I can find a heavy duty hub? Or any other ideas?

Try an OEM hub from the shop ezgo site. They are tougher than the aftermarket ones. Are you using a torque wrench to insure you are getting the proper torque on the axle nut? Are you stopping before you reverse direction?

i torque them with a impact wrench, I go till it stops moving then I let it bang on the nut for a bit until I can put the key in. exactly like putting lug nut on a car wheel only different. never back off on the nut to install the cotter key always go forward. I guess a torque wrench would work too but i'd still go as tight as possible
If your doing this (Getting it tight enough) and still stripping hubs then the axle might be the problem. the splines will wear down and deform after repeated hub striping or running the hubs loose.
not sure what to say about the aftermarket hubs I only use the ezgo ones.
I'm almost positive the problem wouldn't be repeated wheelies, burnouts, or donuts.

If I remember right, aren't these easily stripped if not tightened extra extra tight? I've always read where these need to be tightened like Jon just posted: impact and then then hit a couple more times.

Yeh, I have them torqued like that on my 25hp big block cart but on moderately modified carts the Ezgo specs should do. It may be that the aftermarket hubs are not as tough as the OEM... ?

That could be very true.
