You can, but that's way overkill and very large cable to work with. I hope it's extremely flexible cable....

Finding appropriate lugs may be a problem, as well as making the required bends with the cables. Electrically, it would work fine.

DLO..the post was #1 gage welding cable

there a big difference between welding cable and DLO cable... Both are single conductor cables but that is about where the similarities end. Diesel locomotive cable is available from 10 awg up to 777.7 MCM. This cable is rated 90 degrees celsius and 2000 volt. Primary uses include of course diesel locomotives as well as oil and gas rigs, motor leads, mining and earth moving equipment and shipyards. There is usually an inner insulation as well as outer jacket which affords tremendous impact and abrasion resistance.

Welding cable is generally available from 6 awg up to 500 MCM. While not quite as robust as DLO cable, welding cable is also used in situations where power generation is needed. Many people use this cable when they need to power generators or similar type equipment. This cable is usually rated at 600 volts and 90 degree celsius.

And as for the ul rated RHH/RHW jacket on the cable it can be used for many different applications from arial to wire ways to direct burial..... so with that being said...lol.. the man wanted to know if he could use #1 gage welding cable on his cart.. he didn't ask for you to try to baffle him with some bullsh!t.
about the cable jacket or the ambiant temperature rating.....,,,,oh by the way there sunKing you still haven't showed us them 2/0 cables that you say u have on your cart..

I get it you must be the Forum Bully who feels threatened when someone might know something you do not and you want to run them off right?

You left off something which is what I was driving at. Welding cable has a neoprene jacket which is not a real good choice in damp or acidic environments and may fail at some point down the road from becoming saturated with water or the insulation degraded from acid gases. Dual listed like DLO/RHH/RWH is made for wet, hot, chemical, and acidic environments there big boy. Didn't you know that?
