Default Doubled up cables - how will it affect charging since only one runs through computer?

I am running double cables and I was just wondering if there will be any ill effects from only having one cable running through the OBC and the second bypassing it. I figure there must be some sort of current sensing device in the OBC for the cable to be run like that, but with only half of the charging current now passing through the OBC, will it cause issues? I was actually thinking about putting a piece of all thread through the computer, cutting my cables, and terminating them so all the current will still pass through. Any experience or suggestions?

Yeah, I have one bypassing the OBC. I'm wondering if that's going to mess with how the OBC computes the charging cycle seeing how only half of the charge current will be read by the OBC and the other half will bypass it.

The obc will be fine. Make sure you check your double cable connection once a month at the battery posts ... they may get loose.

Do you mean you double stacked your cables on the batteries?

I double stacked the whole cart. I just want to be sure the OBC will still monitor the battery charging process correctly. As I see it, the charge current the OBC would sense should be halved since only one of the two cables coming off the negative side of the pack actually passes through it. I'm really surprised this topic hasn't popped up before now. I just don't want to create a condition where my new batteries might be overcharged due to the OBC not seeing the full charge current actually being applied.
