I thought I had my cart fully charged until I checked the fluid levels in my batteries. 2 cells had the top 1/16" of the plate showing, and the rest of the cells had the plates covered by about 1/8" of electrolyte.
I added distilled water to cover all plates about 1" and put the cart on the charger. It charged for an additional 1 1/2 hours with the batteries bubbiling like crazy. I'm sure this was affecting the performance of the cart. My question is: How far above the plates should the electrolyte level be? |

I have heard covered is covered. You won't want to fill to close to the top as you'll get more spillage while your chasing bambi thu the woods.
