Default the 36v is getting a dose of 48v and a few other things

ok guys, ive been out of the scene for awhile now and am finding out that ive forgotten quite a bit.

im upgrading the 2004 EZGO TXT to 48v and adding a lift...and adding tires....and adding a motor....and adding a controller.

I know there are other threads covering some of my questions so please post a link to that thread. I dont mind reading and learning things myself its just that I have used the search option and yielded some results but not many. The reason why I know there are some threads that cover some of my questions is because I have seen and read them...but that was over a year ago.

ok here we go...the parts list so far:

motor: PQ Assassin
controller: Alltrax or Logisystem (both around 500 amps)
please give me input on which one and why
solenoid: Albright 48v (ive used this on the AC conversion I did last year)
is there another "better" one out there? ive looked at white rodgers
Cables: 2 Gauge
Forward Revers Switch: give me all of your recommendations

thats all I can think of off the top of my head so far for the 48v upgrade. I will have more questions I am sure but I am going to be reading for the next few days so feel free to chime on in

THANKS GUYS!!!

Is it a series cart? Logisystem 480 controller was not available with an ITS input when I talked with them this morning..... I am on email alert when it rolls off of the production line

Hornet, tell me about that PQ Assassin after you get it running. I've been looking at that motor or re-banding/venting my EMP motor for a 48v conversion. Are you going 8-6 volts or 6-8 volts? Some have recommended the Czonka relays if you ever plan on going with higher voltages/amps (White Rogers 48v is fine), and HD F/R are available on ebay for EZGO's, but some prefer to upgrade their stock one with HD buss bars & contacts (I just bought a whole new HD F/R). I noticed Scotty said the 480amp Logisystem doesn't work with series EZGO, yet. How about the 700amp Logisystem controller, will it work?

im going 8-6 volts since I already have 6-6 volts in the cart right now that still test out really good. ya, ive known about the czonka relays as well. as far as the F/R switch, where did you get yours and where could you purchase the HD parts to make it HD? Scotty did say that the 480 amp logisystem isnt for a series EZGO but I did talk to "madoc1" and hes running a 480 amp on his ezgo series and it is an ITS...so I guess they just stopped making them for awhile and havent started back up yet?? so I am on stand by right now with the builddd

I got my HD F/R switch on ebay, it was a little high $175. I think thats why guys just upgrade there stock. As far as HD buss bars or parts, I've seen them on line at different places, can't remember where though. My thoughts on the Czonka relay and maybe 700 amp controller were just for the future, if I ever decided to go to 72 volts later. Who knows, but I do want to know how fast that PQ Assassin is! How about charger, you got a 48v?

well, ive used Delta Q chargers in the past but I dont want an onboard charger on this one so I am going to go with the 36v/48v from LVS Sales. Ive heard good things about them and for the price..its hard to beat

Hard to argue with rabbits F&R solenoids set up .... if you don't do that at the least change out the F&R to a HD unit or put in the HD F&R Cam from CU
