Default More power scotty!!!!!!!

We are taking 3 high voltage carts to the Plum Quick Summer Nationals.. I have to charge all of my battery packs with a generator. I have this one generator. I run 4-3 bank 12 volt chargers on it.. The motor never runs past the initial rpm's. The power band does not ghange.. I would like to add more plugs if I could... I have a 120/240 v-30 amp plug. Can I convert this plug to add more 110 plugs. If so, how many... Thanks a lot!!!

GB you can use that 30amp plug. That is the one I have my camper running on.You can make a cord with a few outlets on it. How many does'nt matter but you are limited to 30 amps. You shoud have more amps on the big plug than the smaller ones. There are several ways to do it.If you need help give me a call.

Notice there are 2 circuit breakers for the 1 240v outlet. The 240 consists of two 120v circuits with a common neutral. Yes, you can split them back into two 120v outlets

I use a 25kw generator rated at 104 Amps for emergency home use. So if that is an 8Kw generator you should be able to get 30 Amps total output.
Add the current requirements of each individual charger you are using so that you don't exceed 30 Amps.

Ok. I split the 240v in 120 v . And each charger takes 12-amps to work. would that be 24-volts per plug. So I can add 2 more plugs & add 4 more chargers!!!?????????? ?

No, 8000 watts divided by 240 volts = 33 amps. That is the total load.
The 8000 watts may be surge, cant tell from the plate.

not to burst anyones bubble, aren't most generators wired so that the 220 is split into the (2) 110 circuits on the panel. In other words, plugging into the 220 outlet and splitting that into (2) 110 outlets would be the same as if you were running 4 plugs off each of the 2 standard outlets you currently have........

The various plug choices on the generator front panel are for your convenience. You can already consume the max current output just using the four 110v receptacles (35A). Your load decreases as the batteries near full charge, max current at the beginning to trickle near the end of the charge cycle.
