Default Resto-mod, 36v to 48v...

Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to cart modification. I have built drag, stock, and one road race car, but have no real knowledge of electricity.
I've been lurking around here and got a ton of info!
This is what I've done so far...
Striped cart to frame.
Built a battery box out of diamond plate that holds two 6v mounted in the bagwell.
Purchased...
2awg welding wire and lugs.
Alltrax 4865p.
MZJ 400 contactor.
PB-6.
resistor 470 ohm Pre-Charge for 48 Volt Contactors.
48v battery Charger.
400 amp fuse.
Contactor Prestolite JAM4801BBOC Reversing With Diodes 24 volt Coils.
2 more Trojan 105 batteries. (total of eight).

I have a wiring diagram from Alltrax (doc 100 - 48 ) that I kinda understand but I have some questions.
I've read about the plug brake option on here, but is it a good thing or not?
The reversing contactor I bought is 24 Volt Operation for up to 72 volt systems, how do I make that work?
The reverser is only rated at about 200 amps, does that mean if I use the MJZ 400 as the main that the 200 amp reverser only works when I switch to reverse?
Sorry about the length of the post, I wanted to get you guys as much info as I have.
Thanks for any help!
Randy

After reading my long and rambling post, I think my questions are unclear.
1. Do you guys think the reverser I bought will
work in my system?
2. If so, how do I get 24 volts to it?
3. Would I be better off buying a reverse contactor with 400 amps to match my main contactor, with 12v coils?
I'm not sure I'm even asking the right questions or that I put this in the right forum.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Randy
