Default can i use 3 deep cycle 12 volt batteries

is it possible to use 3 12 volt deep cycle batteries instead of 6 6 volt batteries?

It will work for testing purposes but will not give good results for running the cart & will soon kill the batteries.

Sure ya can, I wouldn't stray far from the house though, if you do have a trailer ready to pull it home. Also plan on buying a new set of batts in a few months. If you do a search you will find many posts on this matter, not a good idea, it will be cheaper in the long run to buy a good set of golf cart batteries.

I have a friend (kinda) that has had the same sams club 12v deap cycle marines in his cart for over 2 years. They seam to do OK. HE drives it around the campground all week end on one charge. OF course by the end of the week end it is getting slower. There is also not a lot of hills there either.

where i work i score free batteries all the time.they are 12 volt diesel motorhome batteries.i stock pile them in my garage.up to 11 now.i have never had to change them yet and i can go for miles.we do a lot of riding in the woods and on sand roads.mind you too that these are not even deep cycle batteries.can't explain it but they work fanstatic.these batteries are big.

in my opinion 6 or 12 v more lead more power the bigger the better i got a three wheeler ezgo with three huge 1400 cca diesel rig batts and that thing is a beast my block is 4 mil round trip slight hills went around my block 10 times the other day and still had some juice the biggest thing is haveing matching ah batts that has been my exper dont be scared nothin was fingered out till some one wasent afraid to try it lol just remember bigger is better

I added some periods in there. Makes it easier to read

Thats because the batteries are HUGE and you never really draw enough out of them to hurt them. Those batteries probly weight twice what a golf cart battery weighs. We are talkin about regular walmart type 12 volt marine batts.

Those wally world "deep cycles" are not true deep cycle batteries. They are a hybrid.
