Need more power!!
Sorry if this might have been already posted some where.
I have a 1982 Ezgo 36 volt. (resistor cart) Here is my question: Can I add 2 or 3 more 6volt battaries and use a momentary relay and switch that would by pass all of the electronics and go straight to the motor? That would be a total of 54 volts or 72 volts if I used 12v extras. I'd like to use this when I am in the middle of a mud hole or trying to jump a log. |

Re: Need more power!!
I am not sure but you would have to charge the extra batteries seprate which may cause them to not be balanced with each other which could ruin the batteries, I think lol. Someone smarter will be along

Re: Need more power!!
My second question is where can I find High amp relays? The largest I have right now is 200amp and I seriously doubt thats large enough!
I could add three more 12v battaries and use another 36v cart charger? |

Re: Need more power!!
Move this is for a controller cart not a resistor but here is Roady's post to add in momentary power

Re: Need more power!!
Sweet!!! I didn't think that would be to complicated. I already talked to Rick(?) at Plum Quick about my motor and sending it off to him. I wanted to make sure it would be able to live.
