Which cart do you have?

We make kits for CC Precedent (4 battery configuration) or EZGO PDS (upgraded to a 48V).

+'s: more torque-->easy hill climbing; more brisk acceleration than DC; no need to replace brushes because AC doesn't use brushes; regen braking which can increase your range up to 30%; ACs can rev higher than most DCs, ours revs up to 7000 RPM; our controller is programmable so that you can adjust your settings e.g. if you use bigger tires, you can enter the diameter value so that the controller accounts for that.

You can use it for either "hop up" or practical purposes. Our AC kit had our CC Precedent and EZGO PDS hitting 30mph top speed.

-'s: a little pricier than most DC system, but ours is reasonably priced.

We bought one of the Club Car LSV's with the stock 48 volt AC system (400 amp controller 4hp motor) and this thing SCREAMS. Lots of power and torque, long run times, etc.

I'm tellin' ya, ACs are the wave of the future. AC electric motors been around for the longest, but for golf cars they're relatively new. All the major car manfacturers who use hybrid or full EV drive use AC motors. This alone speaks volumes.

Our website should up and running sometime next week.

Strangely also, it is a Three Phase motor... go figure...

Rusty, which LSV do you own? I heard that CC uses ACs but it was only recent.

I have the CC Carryall 6 LSV. It is listed on the CC web side under commercial products I think.
http://www.clubcar.com/commercialbus...ryall6lsv.aspx
We bought it with the Obama credit . Perhaps my last chance to get a tax break considering that I have a job and my demographic/racial classification : (
It cost $14k . No way I would buy it without the credit, but as far as golf carts go it is absolutely loaded (minus radio). We carry two 55 gal drums of water plus a steel rack , over 1000 lbs, no problem if you go slow, plenty of motor torque . When we drive empty it flies,, fast acceleration, cool sounding motor, winds up faster than DC and higher rpm. I wish I knew how to program to controller to violate the governor, but it would prob overspeed the motor. I have a lift on order to go to 22 inch tires and expect 28-30 mph. Judging by the torque I don't foresee any problems.

Here are the specs;
