Trojan T145 Question
Have the chance to pickup some "Test Use Only" T145's from a company that used them for testing electric utility carts.
NO stamping on either Neg. or Pos. posts but a series of # and letters melted into the top of case. Have a voice mail and a email into Trojan tech line but as of yet no response. Need to pick these up in the next 12 hours so looking for any help on reading the date codes. Thanks!! |

Re: Trojan T145 Question
I don't know what to tell you about them, the date code on all trojan batteries that I have heard of are stamped in the lead on the battery post

Re: Trojan T145 Question
Certainly somebody could tell you how long they have sat? That is a great battery but.... can you test SG?
Trojan tech support has always been pretty quick to respond for me. |

Trojan tech support has always been pretty quick to respond for me. I understand case codes are mostly to do with plant location and shift... in case a bunch of bad batts show up. |

Re: Trojan T145 Question
Just update in case any else searches...
Talked to to Stacey at the Trojan tech line... 24hrs. after I left a voicemail... better late than never but I have to to say she/Trojan were extremely helpfull. Needed to sand the Neg. post with 600 wet sandpaper to find the date stamp..... much more like a engraving than a stamp I have seen in the past. Batteries are K8 on the Neg post, NO stamp on the Pos. post but V2218 melted into the case just along side the Pos. post. SG checks good on all 8 batteries and at $25 each if I can a year or better of service from them I'll be able to put funds aside at a later date. Thanks! to all who replied. |
