Re: Desulfater??
i have built a few of my own.
how they work depends on the condition of the battery |

Re: Desulfater??
My batteries are about 2 1/2 years old and hold a good charge. They are Trojan and if this really helps extend the life of the battery I am ready to do it. I have found the electronic version and a liquid additive. What are the pros and cons between the two methods?

Re: Desulfater??
i personally wouldn't add any chemicals to my batteries. i do believe that the electronic desulfators do work. heres some tests i performed on a very old 12V SLA battery with a off-the-shelf desulfator product. link
regardless of whether you choose to install a desulfator or not, you should keep your batteries watered and fully charged for longest service life. -sj |

Re: Desulfater??
off the shelf additives are no good.
do some research you can buy alot of the same chemicals used in the additives. and come up with your own mix. but remember you could ruin a set of good batteries. |

Re: Desulfater??
I smell ya redrider, the last thing I want to do is harm the batteries. I am liking the electronic method, looks like the way I am gonna go.
