Default Where to start?

Looking go get started upgrading my cart. It's going to be a part here and there process. Its a 95 CC DS 36v unit. I'm thinking the controller would be first on my list? I have 09 Trojans on 4 ga. Got the cable and ends to do the rest too.
I don't think I want a programmable unit. I don't own a laptop, tablet, iPad or notebook. I know most people are running the alltrax setup. What about the GE units? Are they just plain inferior? My purchase will be either a 400 or 500. Ive read some posts about the logisystem products as well.

I'm leaning towards the GE unit based on price alone. I haven't seen any feedback on them though.

Thank you BGW crew.

I just got a 500 GE controller from Scottyb. Contact him for good answers concerning electrical components. From what I looked at it should be a good controller.

If you do your homework there seems to be some descrepancies in prices and wires needed from Scottyb. check with itsOld2 he recently did his homework and found some great prices from others and he knows the wiring you will need.

ScottyB does this for a living, and he sells only premium made cables, he silver solders the connections, and he knows the manufacturers recommendations for what size cables to sell for any setup. I don't think there is any confusion from ScottyB. If folks want to build their own cables, they could probably do it very cheaply, but, almost all times, they wouldn't end up with near the quality of cable. Not to mention, their time involved. I'm a pretty handy guy. I could probably build me a set of cables. But when I upgrade, I'll pay a little more to get a quality set that will last. Scotty, also lables his cable sets, so they are easy to install. Sometimes, the bottom line isn't everything!

Do you have proof of what you are talking about, Scottyb is a valued sponsor hear on this board, if you have a problem with something that has happened have you tried to talk to him before bringing this out in the open???

I will be making the rest of my own cables. All 4ga. I'm sure ScottyB wouldn't mind if you called him directly though.

I'm glad i did my homework because if I did not find itsOld2 post i would have just purchased the item. However it sounds nice that the cables that Scottyb makes are labled. Some people do not have time or patients to do some of these do it your self projects.
