48v on a G14 36v controller
Need a little help. I have been a long time browser and have done as much research as possible. It is now time to replace my batteries in 94 G14. I really want to bump up to 48 volts. My question is will the stock controller take the increase in the voltage. I will be purchasing an alltrax later this summer. I need to do this in stages because of the wife factor. Everything I have read says that the motor will not only take it but will perform better. I am currently running a Jakes 6" kit with 23" tires. I have a rear seat and use it at our campground. Mainly flat ground with a little trail riding.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I love this site |

Re: 48v on a G14 36v controller
You will have to do the controller so I would get it installed first. When that's done then work on getting a 48v solenoid and charger. After all those are in stock you are ready for 6 new 8v batteries.
