Re: Assasin
You are hearing correctly. The assassin motor is more of a speed motor. It sounds like you want the big torque motor
What kind of cart is it? What kind of mods? What type of driving and What type of footing or terrain? The answers to these questions will help but basically if you drive slow more than fast. You want a torque motor. There is a motor for you at PQ. |

Re: Assasin
95 club car 700a buggies controller #2 welding cable..... santiago gc supply 36v 3.5 hp motor modded twice by pq .....8 t-105's ....23" tires..... i usually ride slow sometimes 4 people some fairly steep hills but for every uphill i coast down the other side.....it will gps a strong 32 on flat ground with 2 people but since the 2nd trip to pq the motor gets hot going slow but nice and cool when i run it hard....headed to the beach in a month and i don't want it overheating down there....and my fear is losing speed with the torque motor .....thanks fellows....oh and a man just handed me too much cash to refuse so i am now motorless :(

Re: Assasin
You need the torque motor. Or your heat problems will persist

Re: Assasin
It would help to know what kind of cart? And what mods? But yes, that is an option so long as the tires are not too tall....

Re: Assasin
scottyb, high speed gears wouldn't really be adviseable for 26 inch tires?

Re: Assasin
That's high speed gears on top of high speed gears..... what most carters fail to realize is a tire size change is a gear size change. So going from 18 to 26s is a what ... Nearly 50% gearing increase!

Re: Assasin
I'm getting a solid 25mph on flat ground, can PQ wind a motor that will increase my speed without sacrificing torque? Right now I can pull the wheels off the ground from a dead stop about 4 inches. And I'm running 26x10x12 chunkys. I have 2 ga cables, speed/torque DnD motor, Alltrax 4855, 400 amp continuous 700 rush solenoid, hd f/r. Also right now if I try to feather the accelerator in forward or reverse it'll SLAM into moving. It doesn;t do it all the time but occasionally. What can that be. Sorry for the thread hi-jack too.
