Default Scrapyard Motor Find

Found this at the scrapyard yesterday... $14.50 Not sure if i'll be able to put it to use on my 97 DS; adapting it to the gearbox might be a little beyond my current skill set. The can minus bottom extension measures roughly 6 3/4" across and 7 1/4 tall. The stator laminations are super thin! PIcture shows them next to a stock AMD. I don't think removing the spines will be as much trouble as adapting the can to mount to the gearbox... The top of the can appears to have been bolted from front (where the broken bolts are) vs bolts running through the can like the CC motors.

Anyone recognize this motor? I'm guessing it came from a forklift pump. Any thoughts as to making it work with the graziano gear box?

Well I think your right. It looks like pump motor to a fork lift.

Is there any info on it?

I also see that the brush's on it are HUGE! thats a good thing. The bigger the brush's the more torque the motor can make. Im guessing its a 24 or 36V motor, but im sure it can handle 48-60.

no info on it... nate over at PQ agrees that its likely a pump motor. he also thinks it might drop in to a caroche transaxle. i gotta take some more measurements.

fitting it to my stock '97 CC ain't happenin' without some help from a machine shop/tools i don't own.

those brushes are my motivation... every time i see them they say "feed me current!"
