Default Will this charger work?

Would this charger work for my 72 volt cart? Planning on using 9-8 Volts.

http://www.quickcharge.com/Select-a-...ON%20BOARD.htm

If so, which would be better, 20a or 10a?

Thanks

Looks like it ought to work. I would go with 20amp model, it will give you quicker charging times.

Looks good.
I do like the different modes of this one. The amp draw is kind of high on the 20A unit. Make sure your circuit will handle it.

Check this one out. It's another very good on board charger.

Those Delta-Q's are nice. You can also use an onboard "Bank" type charger. One of those onboard marine bank chargers that charge 3-4 12 volt banks (or more). I got my welding supply salesman hooked on carts a month or so ago and he picked up a 4 bank charger to use on his cart. The cool thing about it is he is only running 36 volts. When he gets ready to go 48 volts he doesn't have to buy another battery charger. All he has to do is wire in the other bank and he's set.

What is a "bank" of batteries?
What does 3-4 bank of batteries mean?

On the charger Roady is talking about it has four leads of twelve volt charging capacity. Each lead is considered a bank. In a cart you would use one 12v bank to charge 2-6v batteries wired in series.
