Adding two batteries for 48v
I am planning to go to 48v soon but first have to decide where to put them. Here are some pictures of an idea i have. But I wanted to know what someone with alot more experience thought about it. I did notice it slightly bends the plastic but nothing serious.

Re: Adding two batteries for 48v
I'm being very honest with you. They are really ugly sitting up there and if you want your cart to be pleasing to the eye, move them to an inconspicuous spot. I put mine in the bag well and covered with a plate over the opening. You can see mine in my build thread linked to my signature. If you are planning on installing a rear seat, they will be covered for the most part anyway. I have a rear seat but still use my cart for golf as well as other events/activities. You can also see how I fixed that.

Re: Adding two batteries for 48v
If it bends the plastic slightly now, just wait until you hit that first big bump. You might see more than a slight bending. They might crash through or at least, cause more damage than you want to have to fix.

Re: Adding two batteries for 48v
I greatly appreciate your honestly and will look into your setup. sounds like it will work great with something covering them. Did you drill holes somewhere for the wires to connect to your inside batteries or how did you manage that? Thanks for the honesty!

Now that I look back at it, having them up there would be really ugly with the bar going across and everthing so I do believe i will go with your idea and cover them like you did.

Re: Adding two batteries for 48v
Zack, you won't have any problems getting the cables to tie into the other batteries. I don't even remember if I had to drill a hole or two on mine, but if you do, it's surely no big deal. Good luck with your project.
