It costs about $800.00 and only available to dealers. Each programmer will have the dealers code in it, so they can track whoever programed it - LIABILITY. The same machine runs much more than speed programming, like diagnostics, trouble shooting, avarage operating speed, hours, times charged, peak hp, and more. RXV's are capable of 25++, factory settings are 19.9 for golf and 14.9 for shuttle 2+2. I'm not just going to program one for a customer that fast, I would like to keep my dealership and not get sued... |

Sounds like a black market opportunity. Wish I knew how to.

Re: New A/C Electric
If the speed controller is made by Curtis. Then you are in luck. They make a handheld programmer. Model 1311,Compatible with Curtis speed controllers and auxiliary devices. AC or DC controllers. And there are ways to get one.

Re: New A/C Electric
The problem with EZ GOs unwillingness to have these vehicles run out 25mph when you have brand X vehicles on outdated suspension already out there running that quickly.. too bad too, being that the RXV is arguably one of the most advanced golf cars out there.. Cant wait till somebody starts selling "unlocked" diagnostic units.. lol.. The handheld unit is pretty slick though, real time data on about every function you can think of.. hand unit feels kinda cheap though..

The EZ-GO RXV website say's flat ground speed,14.5 mph. Is there another website that I can verify the factory settings 19.9 mph. Just how fast does this cart go? |

Re: New A/C Electric
RXV Freedom units are set at 19.9. Any and ALL shuttle 4 passenger carts are set at 14.5. Any 4 passenger cart that is set any higher will loose it's 4 year warranty. Once programmed to go faster, that information will ALWAYS be stored in its memory, thus retrievable by the programmer

Re: New A/C Electric
Your AC system should be capable of speeds in excess of 30 MPH, I don't have an AC cart to examine but I do know the theory. I am sure there is a way to fool the controller into thinking it is going slower than it really is.
Liability is the reason they will not give you more speed. |

Called your feedback system, if like a normal ac motor.
