Default Battery placement for 72 volt ezgo

I was wondering where yall are putting the extra 3 batteries when you convert to 72 volts? Any pics would help thanks. I am going with 9 8 volts.

Simple solution is to put one under the driver seat, and two in the bagwell. Anything else requires fabrication......

Andy i should have said i still play golf so i need my bag well. I was looking at making a battery/ controller box where that basket is and putting the six regular batteries plus one on each side and mounting one in the box im gonna make is there any downside to having the one battery , controller, and reversing contactor away from the rest?

I saw one of the vendors carries a relocation kit that moves the bag well behind the bumper

Cool Re: Battery placement for 72 volt ezgo

I have seen people mount them under the front cowl. It doesn't really matter where they are I guess. The cables length would have a little effect on them but not much. No there is nothing wrong with one being by itself.

You could mount the controller up behind the regular battery tray like I did in the monster cart. This is right under the black plastic motor cover. I added a piece of metal angle iron to the frame to mount the controller. You could also move the F/R contactor there to.

That gives you both sides on the cart. You could then only need one battery placed in the middle of the bag well are wherever.

Hi Andy,
You said that you have seen people mount batteries under the front cowl? Would you happen to have any pictures of this or be able to share their idea? I’ve been really contemplating going to 72V. I have a 48V cart now with 2 batteries in the bag well. The problem is I load the rear bed with crap and the cart wants to flip over backwards. I have REAL STEEP hills on my hunting land and I’ve had several scares when the front wheels come off the ground! I’ve wondered about mounting some up front and would love to see or hear about it. Thanks
