Default Bluetooth battery monitor

Have any of you ever seen or tried this or something like this. Seems like a great idea.

It's pretty cool. I have been on board with this from the beginning, waited for release and was interested in becoming a dealer but ...... the price is too high for now.

I can monitor the pack as a whole and know when I have a problem.... You can do alot with a simple meter and SG test of each battery once a month when you check water levels...

I think (don't quote me) dealer cost was 2-225.00 per one 6/6v system.

Kewl product, but too pricey. For tens of dollars, you can buy a rotary switch and use a digital volt meter and monitor each battery and the whole pack.

The meter shown in the third photo is the ammeter. It's the rotary switch next to it that feeds my overhead volt meter.

Cool Re: Bluetooth battery monitor

How many batteries can you monitor with that switch?I would like to have just a 2 way switch to monitor the 72 volts and 12 volts in the monster cart. That way I can do away with the analog guage for the 12 volts.

Mine's a 2 pole, 12 position switch, but it has a small cam so you can limit it to as few as 2 positions. Mine currently has an off, full pack, then batts 1 - 8, so I could measure two more things. To monitor two batts with a toggle switch would be a breeze. I'd use a double pole, double throw, three position on-off-on switch, so I could turn it off.

An example can be seen on my far left-hand headlight switch in the pic above, which has high beams (parallel), off, low beams (series). You'll notice the position when off of my on-off-on, is different than the other toggles, which are DPDT, two positions.

Where did you get the rotary switch? I have been looking for one to do just what you are doing with it and I have 8 6v batteries so this is perfect.

Thanks
Rob
